We produce different surfaces to suit the different types of wood we use. The required look and intended use determine
the type of surface chosen.
Oak surface
The oak surface consists of two layers of NC-lacquer and a wax layer. In the first production phase white NC-lacquer
is applied and then ground firmly so that white colour pigmentations only remain in the pores. Then a second layer of
clear NC-lacquer is applied. Finally, the surface is waxed to give it a uniform velvety gloss.
Beech surface
The structure of the beech surface begins with a primer based on shellac, a natural resin. Next a layer of wax is
applied to this surface. Table surfaces of beech wood are given a primer based on UV-lacquer to make them more
durable and finally a wax coating.
Alder surface
Firstly, a UV water-borne coating primer is applied to the relatively soft and very porous alder wood. A second layer
of UV water-borne coating follows and finally a wax coating.
Lacquer surfaces meet DIN (German Industry) norms and the strict health regulations. They comprise the following
components depending on the use for which they are intended:
• binders for gloss, hardness etc. |

Nitrocellulose lacquers (NC) Dry fast, surface insensitive to friction and alcohol. No excessive sensitivity towards light and chemicals. Easy to repair. Natural resin lacquers Water-borne UV lacquers Wax |
